Re: OT: Melb Flower Show

Hey Jan,
I have been very busy lately, well whats new really, and finally read your
post regarding your purchases at Melbourne Flower Show. I have come to the
conclusion that Colleen, myself and you, gosh thats terrible english....well
we all must like the same things...is it caused by iris virus? I too am mad
about Hoyas, you should see my kitchen/lounge room area...totally jungle
like and smelling beautiful at the moment as 3 are in full bloom. I bought 5
hoyas, but found they had bagged plants which definately made my
transportation trip home a little easier....Now all I have to do is pot
them, I bought the soil at a nursery at home, but need hanging pots, and its
easter so all the shops are closed. We have a nursery down here that sells,
really gives away recycled pots so I will be making a trip there. Did you
indulge your daffodil virus at Hancocks too? I managed to stay away, as I
had already put in a large order for minatures from them.....Colleen
didnt..:)
Do you remember the box like trolleys that our grandmothers used to use when
shopping, used to be nicknamed Betsy's...like a large big , deep box with
sturdy wheels underneath?...Well that is what I am taking if I am brave
enough to go down to the show next year.....Now back to digging more
JIs...from Wendy Sargeant, zone 9-8ish Aus., with hardly any rain at
present, where is it? Send us some over please folks in the USA/Canada
areas...its very dry again...
