CULT:a nice surprise

Last year I "rescued" some odds and ends of rhizomes that had gotten
swamped by other plants and moved them out to a bed here at school.
They did very well and we are getting some bloom. Interestingly
several, at least, are old arilbreds, and it was nice to see 'Stars
Over Chicago' again, as well as one or two I don't recognize. But
the nice surprise was one of my own arilbred seedlings from the
1980s, from Sparkling Waters x Danielson half-bred sdlg. It's a very
nice, full-form, slightly ruffled blue-lilac with a dark violet beard
and "eyelash" signal. Lots more buds out there, so maybe some other
orphaned children will come home to papa.
