I dumped alfalfa pellets on almost everything this year, and lots of
them. This has been my worst year ever for leaf spot. Two of the beds I dug
the pellets in by hand after they had expanded and they don't have any leaf
spot at all.
I have learned not to plant TBs closer than 24 inches. My garden is a
Region 15 Trek garden this year and the guest irises are to be planted at 24
inches. My other irises are at 18 inches and were covered with leaf spot.
The irises at 24 inches hardly had any.
The bloom has been tremendous and if we can get sun everyday till next
Saturday we should be at peak TB bloom.
