Is RE better used as a pod or pollen parent?
It has been getting a work-out here. Even though its stalks are well-
decorated with tags, I see only one pod, but the pollen seems to have
worked every time. Is this the experience of others?
I have some Arctic Fox x Local Color seedlings blooming. What a
disappointment. There are so many haft marks you'd think I'd put a
plic on AF.
Interesting in the seedling patch is a PURGATORY child - much lighter
in color but the stalk may not be the best. Seems to be a good
grower.
Then, there's EVERGREEN HIDEAWAY blooming its head off. Any
suggestions? I'm thinking its pollen (if it even has any) should
never be disturbed.
Very few Louisianas showing color.
