>(trying to pretend it's a mild and overcast Oz winter for a week).
Hey! It's glorious, sunshiney Autumn here!

The best way to plant them at first is:
1. wire the rhizomes to the pot
2. Add soil to the required depth
3. Cover the soil with a fine, strong gauze, fixed at the edges of the pot,
with a hole so the fan can protrude.
4. Turn the pot upside down, and suspend it over artificial lighting placed
underneath (pointing upwards), so the fan can continue to grow downward.
5. Gradually, over the next few weeks, rotate the pots and the lighting a
total of 180 degrees.
6. Plant the rooted rhizomes in US soil. (Unless you can manage to import a
large quantity of Tempo Two soil, which would be far better)
Now - If I posted that sort of thing on the Garden Web forums, I would
expect some people to beleive me!
I could do with a truckload of that TT soil myself, so that my purchases
settle in better here, in not wetting, micronutrient deficient land.
BTW Linda - what did you get?
Cheers, Jan
