Hi folks!
I'm Jean Richter, Gesine Lohr's housemate. I hold her fully
responsible for turning me into an iris nut :-) After just a few
short years I suddenly find myself growing 69 different varieties,
mostly historic TBs. My favorite types are Austin hybrids, space
agers, arilbreds, blacks, and plicatas. Last year I tried pollinating
for the first time, and have three little bitty seedlings coming up
now.
Our bloom is just starting to pick up after some warm weather (we're
in the San Francisco bay area, zone 9). My latest bloom is an SDB,
Nimble Toes (more about that in my next post :-)
