If you have questions, please ask them. That is what this
mailing list
is for, and someone will be able to help you. There is no such
thing as a
silly question. One thing to remember is that even the experts
were
beginners at one time...
As for Iris reading material, I would like to recommend two
books, "The
World of Irises" and "The Gardener's Iris Book" both of which
are available
through the American Iris Society.

I have both books, and refer to them quite
regularly--especially since I
live in an area that is not known for growing Irises.
