HYB: seedling overdose

I think Murphy must be in Texas or Oz for the time being. Tornadic
cells all around me all day today, reports of tornados here & there plus
up to two inch diameter hail, but only a few brief showers & some
moderately gusty winds here.

I spent a lot of time today just staring at two of these seedlings -
can't believe I had anything to do with their existance. I hope the awe
that goes with new seedlings never goes away.

Christy - I will post a photo of "Beginner's Luck" when another bloom
opens - too much empty space along the stalk detracts from the drop dead
gorgeousness of the blooms. The 40 inch stalk (yes, Bill Shear, I
measured it <g>) with two big blooms open took the wind gusts and rain
with no evidence after. It is a rich, ruffled, purple black with darker
beards, no rain spots. I'm in love... <g>
