  GILDED CREAM I can understand - a cream iris with highlights or edging
  resembling gold paint or enamel, but what is to be made of GUILDED CREAM -
  something to do with a medieval dairy producers' trade association?

  Actually, the second spelling appears to be just a typo that may have crept
  into whatever printed source you have referred to. The 1999 AIS Checklist
  lists, correctly I am sure, an iris by the name of GILDED CREAM registered
  by Betty Wilkerson.
