The only observation I can add is that fans on the outside of clumps were often more severely damaged than those in the middle. They may have been farther along, faster growing, more exposed.
??One thing for sure, fans of susceptible cultivars with any kind of stalks starting to form have turned to mush. Starting to stink a little.
None of the freeze tolerant unprotected plants with stalks are showing color yet, but they are continuing normal looking growth.
I am ripping out <protected> seedlings with blasted buds. If they can't even keep buds <with> protection, they are compost! With all this damage, I don't even care if I've not seen them bloom. Need the room for "better" stuff. I'll let the rest of you in better climates & sites lead the way on form.
