I am sitting here looking at my iris listings for my beds...waiting for
bloomtime. I am curious, does anyone know of any reblooming space-age
iris? (TB's or medians) I grow DOUBLE MINT and ERECT, these are the
only cultivars that I am aware of that are RE/SA. My purpose for asking
about RE/SA's is that I would like to add these to my breeding program.
Riley Probst spoke at our Prairie Iris Meeting on 4-13-96 about Novelty
Iris and his advice about breeding for space-agers was to pick a Byers
space-ager as a pod parent; he commented that Monty had crossed about
all that was possible with SKY HOOKS! What I would like to end up with
is a reblooming space-ager with good form. Boy do I wish THORNBIRD and
CONJURATION would rebloom!!!
