Carolyn, I have been off the computer for 4 days because I went to LaCross WI
to give a judges training program on Siberian irises. The Region 8 people are
just wonderful, and treated me so nicely...and the food was marvelous.  But
any way, that is why I have not been responding to messages the last few
days.
All our shows in Region 4 are AIS accredited shows.  My local society the C&P
Iris Society has 3 iris shows every year: a spring show in May, a show for
Japanese irises in June (which is always done jointly with the Francis Scott
Key Iris Society in the Baltimore-Towson, Maryland area), and the reblooming
show in October.  Our May show is usually very large, with entries of many
types of irises besides tall bearded.  We always have good representation of
SDBs, IBs, some times some arilbreds, always a very, very large number of
MTBs, some Siberians or lots of Siberians depending on the season, sometimes
Louisianas and spurias, a good number of species and a very large class of
historic irises.  A judge has to be knowledgeable in most classes of irises
to judge this show.  
In addition to our fall show for rebloomers, there is always an official show
for rebloomers in the fall held by whatever local society is sponsoring our
regional fall meeting.  (And 2 years ago the FSK hosted the fall meeting and
had both a show and GARDEN TOUR of reblooming iris gardens.  Rosalie Figge's
garden was on tour, and the garden of Ken and Joan Roberts.  The Roberts
garden looked like a spring iris garden.  Huge clumps of scores of different
rebloomers in full bloom.  It was fabulous!
This is probably more information that you expected or wanted, but I do get
carried away when it comes to irises....but on this listserver I know there
are many who are even more intense iris nuts than I am...is it possible?
