What a list of hybridizers!! Some I am familiar with, some not. Ghio's are
popular here. Maryott's things are around, but I can't remember them..
I don't recognize anyone in your list from Kerr to the end. Are they Californiafolks? We have a strong acquisition program, also. We auction them at
our auction and sale in July after growing them in member's gardens for
three years. This introduces cultivars and/or hybridizers to local members
and we can make recommendations based on real garden experience.
A real conscientious club would keep written records of good growers. Does
anyone do that? We rely on word of mouth, and look at the bloomstalks at
the show, and slide shows and picture albums. WE should get organized!!
