Here in Northern Wisconsin, just south of Lake Superior about 100 miles, we
have had a very snowy and cold winter but not a record breaker. We started
snow cover 8 and 1/2 months ago and it's still here but it is getting into
the 40's F not Celsius today and 50's tomorrow. Still freezing at night
though. Our coldest temp was a few days and nights of minus 40 + F which is
cold for us but not unexpected. Otherwise it wasn't really a too bad winter
although you wouldn't know it from my heating bills.

Normally our lake loses its ice about April 15 each year. It's going to be
late this year but depending on whether we get any warm rain or nights were
it doesn't freeze, it will go fast.

I'm only guessing at this point but I would put us about 2 weeks behind the
usual. I still expect the ice to go out before May.

Needless to say, Daffodils, crocus, not to mention iris are not showing yet.
