Looks like you have colder winters and hotter summers than we have.
Our temperature seems to be rather even all year compare to yours.
Our summers are often cool in stockholm +15-25 deg C, and we often joke
about them and call them 'green winters'. And half of the winters are
often 'green' too. The ground is still frozen very deep here, because we
have had so little snow this year. I found one huge Iris rhizome under a
layer of maple leafs on the icy soil and it looked fine, I baught it
last year and it shall be interesting to see it flower.
