Since inception, the IRIS-L has been a kinder and gentler mini-universe. I
treasure an online forum that seems to exhibit a other-world gentility and
patience.
In my *very narrow* computer specialty I am quick to tell the other seven
dunderheads in the field that they are complete know-nothings, uncivil
ignoramuses, and probably also have bad breath.
However, I would be distressed in the extreme to see even a mini 'Flame
War' erupt on the IRIS-L. Perhaps we should express our annoyance directly
to the person who has offended us by using a personal message?
