Nell and Kathy, The correct name of this iris, which is now registered, is
SAYO-NO-TSUKI. (Unfortunately, Currier got the incorrect spelling from a
Japanese person who did not understand correct transliteration of Japanese
into English). It is the cultivar that 5 of us in VA and MD pooled our
resouces for and paid $400.00 to obtain at the SJI convention in Maine a few
years ago. It is quite lovely, and VERY VIGOROUS here in MD and VA.
Although I do not list it in The Iris Pond price list, I would be willing to
sell it for $20.00 if someone wants it. Clarence Mahan in Virginia
