Re: Misc Replies

I'd love to be one of the WEENIES to go to the meeting in Portsmouth, VA.
We may be having our regional that weekend too. Keep us posted.
While I have everyone's attention:

Did you receive your catalog from HERMIT MEDLARS WALK? IF YU DIDN'T
WRITE:
	Bill & Ada Godfrey
	3 Pierce St (Rte 140)
	Foxborough, MA 02035
It seems like a very nice catalog. Prices are fantastic. I'm not sure how
I got on the mailing list, maybe thru AIS.
Two of the things I like about the catalogue are 1- pictures. Not glossy or
clear, but nice and lots of them. I get an idea about the colors, etc. from
them. 2- The iris are listed in order of their classification--
Standard Dwarf Bearded (SDB) 8" - 15" etc. instead of alphabetically and
yu have to guess and flip around. If you want IB's just go to that section.
The classifications correspond to the AIS classification...
AND lots of Terry Aitkens.
Now a pitch for the Willott collection. The WEENIES (Western New York Iris
Society for those not keeping up) has the great honor of being the archivist
for Tony and Dorothy Willott of Ohio who hybridize some of the cutest little
things you've ever seen. Something like pixie sprite.. THAT IS NOT A NAME
but something like that. Anyone know what I mean?? The WEENIES has a
member who volunteered to establish the Willott Garden in Brockport NY
which is to be dedicated in May (all of New York State will be there!!
Come on down everyone!!) Their cultivars are unique and much worth looking
into. Many are in this catalogue mentioned above.
ENUF
Carolyn Schaffner, in cold dark dreary Buffalo NY where is spring?????
