I have a whole box of unknown irises dug up within the last week, from a
neighbor who is going to put up DECKS (some people...). Anyone who is near
by is welcome to some, I have bitten off more than I have room for. These
are all babies from some that were planted near the turn of the century, by
the neighbors' grandmother. No idea on color or type, etc... they were
crowded and mistreated for many, many years; the ones I transplanted last
fall are doing well and up and happy, have not (may not) bloomed yet, but we
are a bit late this year.
I am in Palestine Texas, 2 hours from Dallas and Houston both, right in the
middle. Email me if interested, they are mulched and kept cool for now.
Quick, before my husband throws them out... he made me transplant dutch
irises, while in BLOOM!!! But he is ok other than that.
