All of Terry Aitkin's irises have done fine for me in Portsmuth, VA. AND as
Carolyn suggested I'm standing up as I type this. <grin> . Now the question is
"Which ones do you members of the list server like?". For a hybridizer who has
won so many awards with medians, Japanese, & TBs - Terry has indeed made an
impression in all areas. In today's era of specialization, his accomplishments
are indeed astounding! His JI Electric Rays is one of my favorites!

The AIS Region 4 Fall Meeting will be held in Portsmouth, VA on the 11th & 12th
of October,1996. Between his hybridizing program, AIS Editor, convention(s)
chairman extrodinaire, and work as an architect, Terry has agreed to be our
guest speaker and will be giving Judges' Training. Here's the chance for those
of us on the East Coast to talk to Terry. If you're interested in attending
e-mail for for further details. I'll even make arrangements to have the borders
open for the WEENIES from New York to come down.! <grin> Region 4 plant
auctions are also great. Being number two in membership makes us try harder!
The greaty diversity in plant material that our members grow is reflected in our
auctions. Our local society will be dividing our Louisiana Display Bed this
summer and will be donating over 25 different LAs to the auction. One Region 4
hybridizer donates plants to the auction that he introduces the next year.
Where else can you get a 1997 introduction in 1996?

A month ago I posted a note concerning problems in not receiving irises from ALL
SEASONS IRIS GARDENS, 35912 Bonadell, Madera, CA 93638. This order was for
$120.00. I sent the new owner, Ray Bearden another letter requesting a refund
a month ago today. I have STILL not received a reply. I welcome any
suggestions on what further actions I could, or, should take concerning this
matter. Since I'm unable to attend the AIS Convention I'd appreciate any
feedback anyone attending has concerning ALL SEASON'S IRIS GARDENS. Are they
still in business? Has anyone received their 1996 catalog?

Don't know just what to put at the bottom of my e-mail. I live in Portsmouth,
VA, but am down in New Orleans for the next couple of months. Weather here
yesterday was sunny and in the mid 70s.
