The variegated Japanese iris, "Iris ensata variegata" is sold as 
"Silver Band". I have it but forgot to list it in my web list. I'll 
sell it for $6 a division, so it need not dent the pocketbook. It's a 
good grower, but the bloom is a species-type bloom, purple, as I 
remember, and small. Its chief virtue is its foliage. Ensata Gardens 
had this one last year, and I think Carol Warner (Draycott Gardens) 
might have it, too.
