THANKS JOHN FOR THE HELP ON THE INSECTS.  I'm thinking of washing each 
individual plant with warm hand/dishwashing soap and squishing and squirming
my way through.  Wish I could pput them in the sun, but in Buffalo, NY
today, there ain't none.  What "general pesticide" would you suggest if my
washing doesn't take care of them??
