I subscribed recently, and am delighted with the amount and quality of
information I've picked up in the last week or two!
I got the iris virus two years ago, and have had remarkable luck with them. I'm
in San Jose, California, and I swear that the climate here was created with
irises in mind. Japanese, Dutch, Siberian - they just love it here! I've been
able to divide every year, and get blooms from them all. Is this bad for them,
or am I doing okay?
I've gotten rhizomes from lots of people, but very few of them know the names of
the varieties. Is there a "master catalog", or do I have to snip off a bloom or
two from each plant and take all thirty of them to Maryott's? They're nice
people, but I don't know if this is the best way to do this...
I'm also looking for a source of PCN that is not seeds. For some reason, I've
had terrible luck getting them germinated and growing. Anybody else have this
problem?
