Hello all,
I was looking a gardening supply catalog today and a sentence caught
my eye, right below a picture of a fake owl (looks real). The sentence
included the words, "Someone(?) eating your plants? Like rabbits....
and other sundry critters.
The owl acts as a scare-crow or should I say scare-rabbit - this one
was life-size and was on a post of some sort in a garden.
My Siberians have no snow cover and are looking o.k.- not great -but
I planted ajuga in one bed of about 12 special (to me) and the ajuga
is being eaten by something and I worry about the SI. I planted
the ajuga almost two years ago after reading about it looking good
with SI's - in the Bulletin of the Siberian Society. I hope it
doesn't do the SI harm by attracting pests. Oh, well......
Linda M, the President of the rot club - sign me up. I forgot
that I planted two other Iris that are not beardless last Aug.
but I don't know what they are....a friend gave them to me when
someone gave them to her & she didn't want them. So, I put them
in a little perennial bed I designed around Ester CDM (what a name,
I hope it is Gull's Win, after all - for the SI folks). Anyway.
one of them had soft rot - now I am a real Iris Grower! They have
green & cream foliage and I am waiting to see if the one remaining
ever blooms so I can identify it.....I have a idea but we'll see.
Bye,

P.S. Are they any dues, Linda ? - I'm not paying them!
