My first iris bloomed today, Jewel Baby (Hall 84). Absolutely beautiful,
with four standards, four falls, and four beards. The standards
slightly over lap each other. The falls do not. Each falls, (stands)
separately. I have grown this iris for about 9 years and it has never
done this before. And it is early, Apr. 15 was the earliest date
previously.
Has El Nino struck again?
