Those who grow the purple/white Neomarica (Marcia) in this are have it
in locations that get morning and/or evening sun, but are shaded during the
hottest time of the day. That is similar to the location I have mine in.

It probably would be hardy if it is covered during freezes. The ones
I have seen here are in extremely sheltered locations, such as yards that
are buffered from cold by the constant 72 F water of the Rainbow River, or
are raised by those of us who cover them on the occasional winter/spring
frosty night.
