just coming into bloom. They are so lovely- sprays of frilly blossums
which last for a long time. Too bad the slugs like them so much as well.
The leaves really can look trashed in short work.

I haven't had this problem with the I.j's. I've lost a couple of TB rz's
to slugs or snails. We have a natural predator here, so I avoid using
poisons. After the Skinks (little lizards) come out in Spring, with the
warmer weather, the slug population drops dramatically. Begrudgeingly, I
guess the snakes eat a few too. Do you have natural predators in your
gardens in the U.S.?
Jan Clark, who delights in nature, especially after seeing s Kookaburra
carry off a 3 foot brown snake for lunch.
