The BIS species iris guide lists Iris spuria muselmanica. The label you
have is obviously a garbled transcription. Far from being dwarf, this form
is described as up to 100 cm tall. The flowers are violet blue and of
typical spuria form. The distinguishing characteristic is that the haft of
the fall is rolled into a narrow tube just where it joins the blade.
According to the BIS book, it grows in salt marshes and irrigation and
drainage ditches in Iran, Russia and Turkey. Some regard it as a separate
species rather than a subspecies of I. spuria.
Species blooming now in my garden: I. cristata, lactea, graminea, tectorum
and tectorum album, aphylla.
