Today 'Alpine Lake', 'Bee Wings' and 'Cry Baby' began to bloom. This is
15 days earlier than last year but very close to the average for first
MDB bloom here.
Every clump of 'Autumn Tryst' is sending up multiple stalks. Since this
iris was still flowering during the last week of November and has never
flowered nearly this early before, can I assume that these stalks were
initiated last fall and survived our fairly mild winter? 'What Again' is
also about to open flowers but this may be more normal.
