There is also an interesting excerpt about this famous iris from the Sass
Chronicle which you can read. The Chronicles--available from HIPS in
photocopied facsimile from the original typewritten manuscripts-- are
compilations of information from AIS Bulletins, catalogs, and other resources
which were assembled by the members of the AIS Historic Iris Robin in the
'sixties. They vary in length, and some are, frankly, better than others, but
they are all valuable for the serious student of historic irises. Check the
publications area on the HIPS page for further information on these or other
HIPS publications, including Cornell Bulletin 112.
