Very funny. :-P But seriously, folks, that's one of the most important
functions of this list from my own personal perspective. I truly
appreciate reading about the irises that do well for other folks with
similar conditions (or similar results) to mine. I always pay attention
(and often save emails) when Linda writes of tough survivors in her
garden, in spite of the fact that her climate and soil type are extremely
different than mine. Rot resistance is my interest in The Rot Queen's
irises. Ellen's frigid-climate performers are also of keen interest to
me for obvious climatic reasons, as are those of comparable climate
Canadian irisarians. I am less interested in iris performers of sandy
gardens, as I believe my clay has a tremendous influence on survivability
or lack thereof.

I encourage everyone to share your lists of tough iris survivors in your
gardens. Please include a brief but thorough explanation of any relevant
cultural practices, growing conditions, and identifiable stressors to
which your irises are subjected so we may do our best to make whatever
applicable comparisons there may be to our own gardens.

I'll work on it and post my list within the next couple of days.
