Never let your bleach go to waste. It is an excellent eviction notice for squirrels, voles, moles, gophers and skunks.Keep in mind also that you almost cut off your nose to spite your face when you purchase large (gal/4l) quantities of liquid bleach as each time you open the bottle more oxygen (and other gasses and moisture from the air) enters the solution and begins to dilut eit. By the time you are half way thru the bottle, you may well have half the strength that you would have had when you first opened it.

A dry chorine bleach is more reliable if you want to get serious about the amount of chlorine you want in the solution for the rhizomes, or any other use for that matter, as the dry chlorine doesn't begin to loose chlorine atoms to the air until it mixes with an aqueous liquid.
So much for the Chemistry 101 lesson for the day!
