Griff et al: Years ago ( ! ) I contacted by phone the makers of those pellets 
when I first heard about them - in the MEDIANITE - in an article by Terry 
Aiken -- and they said that the horse food pellets were better for our need than 
the rabbit,  they have different constituents, naturally.  also you can get 
small alfalfa pellets -- I use the  ones that are about the size of the erasers 
on pencils.  When making or remaking a bed, I plow (have plowed !) the pellets 
by the bag plowed in, along with other nutrients etc.  Also you can get it in 
meal form, but that blows around too much.
I just loved that story of Patrick Orrs!  Rosalie nr Baltimore - the most
