Ahem. I hate to tell you how early my mare started losing her summer coat 
this year. 
Maybe because we never got a "summer" or much of any sun!   She is growing 
hair at an awesome rate.

Just to confound things, I saw a woolly bear about 3 wks. ago that had NO 
black stripe whatsoever.  I don't know WHAT the heck that means!

I'm afraid it's going to be another "volatile" season, as they said last 
year. These "volatile" seasons are no fun at all!     :-(
