Well, certainly not white ground and dark colored stitching, sometimes yellow
ground or pink ground. Genetically-speaking, though, isn't it accepted that the
plicata allele affects the anthocyanin pathways, not the carotenoids? What if
it "looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck" -- but
doesn't breed like a duck ??? Sounds like the real question is whether a term
like "yellow-on-white plicata" (which is certainly an accurate description in
terms of appearance, if not genetics) is the preferred one in the TB world.
