I have lots of squirrels but have not had this problem...but the crows
sometimes pull rhizomes out of the ground (seem to love HOLDEN CLOUGH). To
control the squirrels, it might be helpful to sprinkle cayenne pepper...they
hate it. There is a commercial product called Squirrel Away sold to mix with
bird seed, but if you look at the active ingredient it is capsicum, which I
believe is just cayenne pepper...of course the price of the product would
make you believe it is something exotic. Does anyone know how to make crows
go away besides using a gun? Clarence Mahan, who foolishly bought
some Squirrel Away, and who also feeds the squirrels at their own feeder!
