Where do Spuria grow?

As to the question of spuria growing in zone 5, the answer is a
resounding "yes". I'm in Zone 4 myself (NW Iowa) but we're close to
the northern edge of Zone 5. The rest of our members live
farther south, some probably over the "border". Spuria do fine for
me, and I've seen plenty of them doing fine a ways south. Our club
(Siouxland Iris Society) buys some Spuria and some Siberians every
year just for distribution to members for enrichment of our gardens.
Nobody ever turns them down because they won't grow here.
