Two of the latest...consistently very late....are DANCING WAVES and
LILAC
GARDEN. Both of these are outstanding irises with good
substance...hold up
well in the hot sun! Clarence Mahan in VA
Thanks Clarence. I have Dancing Waves but it didn't bloom for me this
year. I divided it last year and it's making a slow comeback - looks
healthy though.
We haven't had much hot sun here this year, but I'm sure if it holds
up to the Virginia sun it will hold up just fine in Maine. Because we
had a cooler July the JI bloom has gone on and on. Some years we have
a heat wave and it's all over in a week.
Congratulations on winning the HM. I saw Robin Goodfellow at the '95
convention in York, PA and it really made an impression on me. It
looked great in a clump especially next to a clump of Reminiscense
(sp?).
