Keith Keppel believes that luminata is not an alele of plicata, but a
gene with a different locus, since some of his beauties seem to have
both patterns simultaneously.

Gerry, whose view of Moonlit Sea was one of my most memorable events at
the Omaha convention (getting married was among the others  ;-)

PS  I think another "l" is needed in one of the above words.
