I am not familiar with the Iris BLACK AS NIGHT, so I am not qualified
to make a judgment call on whether or not it reblooms, but this may help
the issue. In the late 1980's, I had a clump of JUDGE MAC to bloom out in
September. I know of no other occurrences of rebloom on JUDGE MAC. The
next year, I replaced this Iris and it has made no further attempts at
rebloom. It looks as though sometimes an Iris gets "tricked" into blooming
out of season. This could easily be what happened with BLACK AS NIGHT.
