Hi sharyn--
I have seen the same on all of my irises, tbs as well as beardless,and
as far as I can tell -- it is not related to borers. I don't know what
causes it, and actually I think it looks kind of neat. At the beginning
of summer, I thought it was related to a bloom stalk. But then, what
did I know? I know a little more now and see no borers signs on any of
these plants.
