Siberians can TOLERATE shade... not the same thing. But I AM worried about
the sand... remember that they would prefer a ph on the acid side..... and
they definately need moist soil. Sand can be alkaline - sure death for
sibs. They can spend the winter in pots SUNK into the sand, if you want...
just make sure to mulch.
