Sounds probable. But, you got crows? I recall some discussion in the past
about crows uprooting up rhizomes and moving them around. Nothing was said at
the time about them carrying them off, and I've never understood what they
wanted with them other than as possible nesting material, but if you found
these in the vicinity of a tree....
I look forward to hearing a description of these when they bloom. This should
be fun. Wouldn't it be a hoot if it turned out to be BEVERLY SILLS or
something? You missing anything from your garden?
