All of this talk about names reminds me  that when the convention was here in
Lincoln, NE the local paper did a story on Mr. Ensinger and his breeding
successes.  At the time he was trying to breed what he thought would be a
perfect iris and they reported that when he felt he had done so, he would name
it after his wife, Gladys.  At that time he was introducing his iris ALMOST
GLADYS.  I loved the story behind the name and was even more tickled to see
his announcement of GLADYS MY LOVE.
