The University of Minnesota agriculture campus (St. Paul) is the only place
I have ever seen a beautifully tended and mulched (huge, too) bed with the
label "Weeds and Grass Garden." They also nurture a two hundred yard long
Prairie Garden that was in full bloom in mid-July with native prairie
flowers and grasses. Observing this effort lent some legitimacy to my
approach of occasionally recategorizing weeds as flowers when they get out
of control. I bring increasing imagination to the Spin Doctor department
the longer I live in DC. Now I wonder why that would be ....
