I have harvested untolled numbers of I. lactea seeds. A packet
of these is free to any one who sends me an SASE.
I. lactea is easy from seed. (I don't recall doing anything special
to these.) The blooms are small (2") and in the foliage but the
clump blooms over 2 or 3 weeks. It is a nice foliage plant
with a very *grassy* look. It forms a tight clump and after the
bloom the leaves continue to grow forming a mound about 28" high.
The leaves look fine through out the summer with no extra care (drought
tollerant). It is probably deciduous in cooler climes. (It was evergreen
here until last winter.) You can see photos on the North American Native
