I guess it comes with experience in knowing whose bonus irises are
high quality and whose are not. I agree with you that the ones you listed
are fine cultivars, but there are others listed as bonuses that are not of
such quality, namely the ones I mentioned earlier and others over the
years associated with particular dealers. I think the practice of
introducing varieties specifically for bonuses is fading.
