I grow garlic in my vegetable garden for food - it takes a LOT of fertilizer!  I
suppose you could
have scraggly little garlics growing around your iris, but that does seem less
than "decorative."
Does anyone know if decorative aliums need a lot of nitrogen?  Miriam
