It is certainly good to have a thoroughly interesting discussion on
something that has involved many different people and ideas.
Just a thought on beardless gifts. When I have ordered siberians or
spurias the size of the ordered iris has varied considerable. My
siberians from Barry Blyth were quite a clump, and when I removed the
moist wrapping, I discovered that each one was in fact 3 smaller but
still good sized, divisions. This is a generous act in itself, and
ensures that enough live to give a good clump in a couple of years.
What have others experienced?
