Okay, Hurricane Bonnie is less than 24 hours away from making landfall
(probably more like 18 hours) here in eastern North Carolina. Can anyone
tell me how I might be able to protect my newly planted (and some expensive
introduction) iris from the devastating winds and rain that are supposed to
accompany Bonnie?? If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate your
input.
Leslie,
Anything that is not firmly rooted should be immediately pulled up and
taken inside to safe shelter. be sure to keep the proper label with each
plant. All established plants can be left in place. I noticed that you
are well inland, which should help matters some. Let us know how you come
through this.
